Privacy Policy
This policy explains what MakeReel (the Telegram bot @makemyreel_bot) does with your personal data. MakeReel is operated by RAPOLLO (UEN 53533465J), a sole proprietorship registered in Singapore ("we", "us"). We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
1. What we collect
- Your Telegram user id, and when you accepted these terms. We don't ask for your name, phone number, or email.
- Your photos, the kind of video you pick, and what you write for it: the one line for a Celebration or Memories video, or your idea for ✨ Make 1 photo live.
- What we make from them: the plan for your video, its captions, the clips, the music, and the finished video.
- Checks on your request: how many faces a photo shows, whether it seems to show a child or a public figure, whether an idea fits the rules, and whether a request was refused and why.
- Payments: Telegram's payment id, the number of Stars, whether it was a promotional price, and whether it was refunded. Payments go through Telegram; we never see card details.
- Feedback you send from the bot's Menu: the message, when you sent it, and which video it was about.
- Where you came from: if you opened the bot from one of our links (for example on our TikTok or Instagram page), the name of that link, kept with your account from the moment you accept these terms.
- What's new notes: whether you switched off our short notes about changes to the bot (🔐 My data).
- Service records: timestamps, error codes, and the cost of each step.
2. Why we use it
Only to make and deliver your video, to check that a request is allowed, to take payments and give refunds, to read and answer your feedback and questions, to send you a short note when the bot changes (you can stop them), to count which of our links bring people to the bot, to keep the service safe and working, and to keep the business and tax records the law requires. We don't sell your data, we don't use it to show you ads, and we don't use your photos, words, or videos to train AI models. Your videos are never used in our own posts.
3. Who processes it for us
- Telegram: the chat and Stars payments. Your photos stay in your Telegram chat; Telegram's own privacy policy covers that.
- Anthropic (United States): AI that reads your photos and what you write to plan the video, write its captions, check the request, and check the result.
- fal.ai (United States): runs the AI models that make the video and the music. It receives your photo and the plan, and passes them to the company whose model it runs. The video model is Google's. When Google's model declines a photo (it refuses some ordinary photos of children), that part of the video is made with Kling, the model of Kuaishou Technology (China), instead.
- Hetzner (Germany): our servers, database, and encrypted file storage, including backups.
- Cloudflare: this website, the sign-in to our admin pages, and sending mail: it forwards mail to [email protected] and emails us your feedback.
- Google (Gmail): our mailbox, where mail to [email protected] and your feedback arrive.
These providers are outside Singapore. We send them only what each step needs, under their data-processing terms, and nobody else gets your data unless the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it
- Clips and finished videos are stored encrypted and deleted 7 days after they are made. You can delete them sooner with 🗑 Delete my media in the bot's 🔐 My data.
- Your photos are not stored by us. We copy them from Telegram when a step needs them and don't keep the copy.
- Job records (the kind of video, what you wrote, the plan and captions, checks, payments, and costs) are kept as business records for as long as Singapore's tax and accounting rules require, currently 5 years.
- Feedback is kept with your job records, for the same 5 years, in our database and in the email we receive.
5. Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing consent means we can't make videos for you any more, but we still keep the records the law requires. Write to [email protected]. We know you only by your Telegram user id, so put the reference shown in the bot's 🔐 My data in your email, so we know it comes from your Telegram account. We reply within 30 days.
6. Security
Stored files and backups are encrypted, and access to our systems is limited to the person running MakeReel. If a data breach could cause you significant harm, we tell you and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission as the PDPA requires.
7. Children and other people in your photos
MakeReel is for adults. Your photos may show other people, including children. You must have their consent, or for a child their parent's or guardian's, before you send their photo (see the Terms). A photo of a child can be animated as it is in a Celebration or Memories video, or, in ✨ Make 1 photo live, only into gentle fantasy. We use the people in your photos only to make your video.
8. This website
makereel.rapollo.dev sets no cookies. Our links (makereel.rapollo.dev/go/…) count each visit before sending you on to the bot: which link, when, the country, and whether it was a phone or a computer. We don't store your IP address: to count a visitor once a day we keep a short one-way code made from it with a key that is thrown away every day, so the code can't be traced back to you. Cloudflare, which serves the site, may log visitors' IP addresses for security.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we publish a new version here, and the bot asks you to accept it before your next video.
